As I began writing this post today, NASA was preparing to launch its Artemis I rocket for a five-week journey around the moon and back. They had already attempted to launch Artemis a few days ago without success. Their second attempt was scheduled for this afternoon. But as launch time neared, news reports began to mention fueling issues with the rocket. NASA ended up scrubbing the launch for a second time.
That unfortunate story illustrates how I feel right now about setting a release date for the On Your Side Today book. My designer and I are currently working through our last adjustments to the cover and inside layout. We’re close to a final proof, and I’m excited. I feel that an early October book release is very possible. But at this point, the last thing I want to do is announce the date and then delay. As soon as we have a final version ready, I’ll let you know the official release date.
In the meantime, to prepare for that announcement, I’m making some adjustments to the appearance of the blog. It has some similarities to the old format, but you’ll notice a brighter look to the front page and a more book-like feel to the posts.
As always, I’m thankful for your prayers, support, and encouragement! And I plan to resume posts on The Truly Good Book series as soon as I can. If you’re not already subscribed to the blog, you can subscribe via email below, or follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or WordPress.

I agree. Whether it is a book launch or a rocket launch , it is better to be truly ready.
